I started using the following The Ordinary brand products on July 13th:

The Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I wanted to love it. It’s so affordable! But it seems for the oil on my face, it’s not strong enough. I have been using it everyday and I haven’t noticed any decrease in the level of oil on my face when I wake in the morning or during the day. It’s not hard on my face, but I also don’t have sensitive skin. It has helped prevent acne for me though so that’s why I gave 2 stars, but my acne is under control for the most part. I was hoping for more oil control.

It may work for others, but my oil appears too strong. The shine continues.

The Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA

The price is wonderful. The product is for hyperpigmentation. Unfortunately I’ve been using it twice a day and not seeing any change. I have pretty deep and dark scars so I wasn’t expecting that they would be gone. I was hoping that they would be lighter. So far, no change in them. I’m going to finish what I bought but I won’t be buying more.

This product is likely better for someone whose scars aren’t as dark or prominent as mine.

Glycolic Acid 7% Toning solution

As always with The Ordinary products, I love the price and they give you a good size amount for the price. There’s no noticable bad smell that I’ve seen some people mention. Not really a smell at all. It has made my face as smooth as a baby’s bottom in terms of texture. It really does resurface your face. It didn’t help with the acne scars I have, but that might not be one of it’s functions. I will finish the bottle I have and then think about buying more.
