Natsume Yujin-cho is an amazing anime I’m going to restart. It’s a supernatural anime that deals with various Japanese demon lore along with the main character Natsume’s relationships. It’s a beautifully done anime that I need to finish. It reminds me of Mushi-shi but isn’t quite as ephemeral.
The storylines intertwine and the world building is incredible. I don’t want to give spoilers but seeing the growth of Natsume’s character over the seasons was entertaining as it was personal.
The first time I watched it, I felt like an outcast, I resonated with that theme heavily and reflecting on that time period, I too have grown as Natsume has.
Natsume Yujin cho isn’t really for kids due to some action and themes that will likely go over their heads. It’s more for teens and up who will be able to understand the gray areas of life.
I recommend watching it wherever you watch your anime.
I adore Natsume and I hope you enjoy your rewatch
